This week, I attended the 9th edition of the Julia hackathon. The attendees were the usual suspects from Mainz and Zürich, with a couple of fresh faces from elsewhere as well. I mostly worked on integrating JustPIC.jl into my own code DEDLoc and rethinking the way I compute numerical errors. Click here to find out more about the biannual hackathon.

I visited the University of Leeds for 2 days and gave a seminar on thermal runaway and deep-focus earthquakes. Afterwards, I had a lot of very nice discussions with the earthquake and volcano deformation researchers at the insitute.

Website is slowly growing and almost looking usable by now. Great news, right? I am mostly writing these posts to test things. I hope they will have some content one day.
